(letter sent to the Daily Local, 4/8/08)

H.R. 2200 has passed the Pennsylvania House and awaits action by the Pennsylvania Senate. Sen. Dominic Pileggi, Republican majority leader, could get this bill passed if he gave it his vigorous support. It would reduce the global warming like taking 1.3 million cars off Pennsylvania roads for a year and in the short term it would reduce our electric use by up to 2.5 percent.

I urge each Daily Local reader to contact their senator, Andrew Dinniman in the 19th Senatorial District, or whoever represents them if they live outside the 19th District, to support H.R. 2200.

Energy efficiency is the goal of H.R. 2200 and will serve to improve the health and be financially good for the average voter.
