The role of unions and the Employee Free Choice Act
Tuesday February 3, 7 p.m., in West Chester Borough Hall, 401 E. Gay St. (park in back).
As of 7 a.m. only about an inch of snow is forecast, so we’ll definitely go ahead with the program.
Find out about the Employee Free Choice Act, introduced by Senator Kennedy and others, designed to remove unfair barriers to collective bargaining, in the context of the important role of unions in American life and the Democratic party
Moderator John Turgeon (Chester County Democratic Committeeperson from West Chester); speakers Vince Massi (CWA Local 13000) and Seth Kahn (APSCUF).
n.b. Senate Republicans are holding up the confirmation of Hilda Solis as Secretary of Labor over this issue.
